What is with the movement in churches of being debt free?
Hello I know that finances are tight for many people and the majority of the United stated are blue collar workers working poor and money is not always plentfiful. With this being said why do churches and christian radio stations make such a big deal or to do about being debt free?
Not everyone who is in debt is because they ran up thier credit card up on luxuries. Some have hosptial bills and speical need children tht need financial care and extra help some like myself at this point only have one income coming in. Shouldnt churches and christian rasio station be more concerened with the care of peoples souls? 20,000 dollars does not go as far today as it did 20-30 years ago. Do you think it is a major sin being in debt even when it is honestly not your fault?
I am debt free. It is hard because it means saying no to pretty clothing items (way too often). lol Yet, your right there are times that make it impossible to be debt free. There are always poor, and elderly that suffer and it is not their fault. No Christian should wag a finger at others for financial woes instead they should be wagging the pen to lend a hand to help. Remember Christ believed in helping out others that are in need.
I will say a prayer for you today sweetie that God will help you with your financial trials and let you know that he does not consider you in sin to be indebt due to medical reasons. He understands your plight. Hugs to you!
